This in-person conference will be hosted at Kyoto University in Japan before the Consumer Culture Theory conference.

If your membership is active, please register for the conference using the Current Members options below. Everyone else may register using the Non-Member links.
Please note, the conference dinner venue can only accomodate 50 people. Be sure to register early if you want to secure a ticket to the dinner.

→ Registration Terms and Conditions
1. Membership
Please visit https://genmac.co/ to join or renew your membership.
2. Registration Fees and Currency
All registration fees are listed and processed in United States Dollars (USD). Any currency conversion fees or bank charges are the participant’s responsibility.
3. Payment and Confirmation
Registration is considered complete only after full payment has been received. A confirmation email will be issued upon successful registration. The conference organizers reserve the right to cancel unpaid registrations.
4. Refund Policy
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the conference organizers and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. All requests need to be submitted before 1st June 2026. Administrative and transaction fees may be deducted from all refunds.
5. Registration Transfer
Registrations may be transferred to another participant upon written request to the conference organizers before June 1st, 2026. The substitute participant must meet the eligibility requirements for the registration category.
6. Visa Responsibility
Participants are responsible for obtaining any necessary travel visas or entry permissions required to attend the conference in Japan. Registration fees will not be refunded for visa denials after the refund deadline.
7. Program Changes
The conference organizers reserve the right to modify the program, speakers, schedule, or format if necessary.
8. Liability
The organizers are not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property incurred during participation in the conference.
9. Photography and Media
By attending the conference, participants consent to the use of photographs or recordings taken during conference activities for conference-related promotional and archival purposes.
