This event is hosted by the Media and Gender Research Group — a welcoming, inclusive, feminist space for those who view the intellectual and political roles of their scholarship as indivisible. The group is based in the School of Media, Communication and Sociology, but has members from across the University of Leicester, the UK, and internationally.
The Media and Gender group holds regular meetings in which researchers share work-in-progress, present their work, discuss scholarly feminist texts, and engage with a wide range of pertinent issues relating to feminist media and cultural studies.
Anyone with interests in feminist scholarship – staff, students, activists and independent researchers – are welcome to attend meetings. Please contact convenors Jilly Kay and/or Melanie Kennedy for further information, or to be added to the mail list.
